SHE'S B-A-A-ACK! Our pal Gail Sharratt Mallory (along with her daughter Katie) are seen here posing with the penguin characters at Universal Studios.

When I asked her if we could feature this amusing photo on scribbles, Gail commented, "I like that way the my body shape is that of a penguin". What a great sense of humour you have Gail. By the way, the only resemblance you have to these penguins is your contageous big beautiful smile and I'll never grow tired of sharing it with our readers!

The King of the Carve

Bob Miller poses beside the jack-o-lattern he carved for my mom to use on Halloween night. This photo was taken last year and that pumpkin is long gone. But thanks to scribbles photo archives it will live on forever.

We'll feature more classic Halloween favourites from now until the end of October.

Court is in Session

The Imperial Sovereign Court of St Catharines and Greater Niagara will host Coronation IX on Sat. Nov. 5th. This year's extravaganza is "A Night at the Tony Awards..A "glee"ful Celebration of Broadway".

Saying goodbye to a successful year representing the Court, Emperor 8 Brett Woods [left] promises a night of great entertainment, food and refreshments. With Brett's abundant talent, we wouldn't expect anything less.

Also on this year's agenda, Empress 2001 Deanna Steven-Dior's Decade Walk [if you've never seen Deanna perform, you're in for a treat -she is amazing].

This year's Coronation moves to Niagara Falls, Ontario, to be held at the Americana Conference Resort and Spa. Guests are encouraged to get their tickets and book their rooms ASAP in order to avoid last-minute disappointments. Niagara's Imperial Court Coronation is one of the best of its kind, with special guests joining them from across North America.

Fruit and Yogurt Parfaits
by Ken Leavoy

-Fresh or frozen mixed fruit
-Yogurt
-Bran Buds cereal
-Light Whipped Cream

Layer the ingredients in a large goblet or parfait glass.  I ususally start with a layer of mixed fruit, layer of yogurt and a layer of Bran Buds cereal. Then I repeat the three layers and top with Light Whipped Cream and top with a strawberry or other tasty fruit.

This parfait looks great and is good for you (even better for you if you pass on the whipped cream, but looks and tastes awesome with it). Makes a great dessert, snack or light meal and is great for your bowels.
