“There are two ways to get enough. One is to continue to accumulate more and more. The other is to desire less.”

really liked Lisa Marie Presley. I remember buying her albums and playing them over and over. She had such a unique voice and her music helped me through some very rough times.

And rough times were something Lisa Marie knew only too well.

The daughter of The King of Rock & Roll, Lisa Marie was in the public eye since the day she was born. It was a spotlight she often fought hard to keep out of, amidst persistent paparazzi and the tabloids who hounded her constantly.

She shocked the world in 1994 with her short-lived marriage to Michael Jackson, something many considered a publicity stunt, more than a display of their love for one another.

Lisa Marie was once again in the news in 2020 following her son Benjamin Keough's suicide. He was only 27. Lisa Marie fought addiction to cocaine and pain meds, and was very open about her many stays in rehab over the years.

Lisa Marie Presley was involved with many charities including World Vision and children's charities and philanthropies.

Lisa Marie was at the Golden Globes on Tuesday night, to support Austin Butler who won an award for his amazing portrayal of Elvis, and she made an appearance at Graceland on Sunday where fans had gathered to celebrate what would have been Elvis Presley's 88th birthday.

Another shocking celebrity passing, gone far too soon. Rest in peace Lisa Marie. You will be sorely missed.
