I cannot stress enough how unique my mom's cat Patches was. Sure, many people might say the same about their kitty, but Patches truly was one of a kind.

I mean what 2 year old cat gets adopted and then immediately responds to their new "mom" telling her to jump up on her lap. I've seen cats take weeks just to come out of hiding, so when Patches showed that much love and obedience from the get go, it was a good sign of things to come.
