I'm Jealous of My Cat

Many of Scribbles videos take a lot of time to create. There's coming up with the concept, creating the script, the set, the actual shooting of the video, editing it, dubbing and more. 

Sometimes a video that might be less than 5 minutes long, actually took many hours to put together, so I appreciate it when the video gets plenty of views and likes.

 
Then my cat does something amusing, so I grab my phone and shoot a quick clip. No scripts, no fancy edits, just my cat doing something for a minute or so. Then I post it.

 
Well guess what? The cat videos typically get more views than my carefully plotted out videos.

 
I guess I should not be surprised. Surveys have shown that cat videos are the most popular type of videos on social media and Miss Kitty is proof that trend still going strong. LOL!

scribbles VIDEO | Kim's Bingo Birthday

We hosted a birthday party for my sister Kim here at Scribbles world headquarters. The theme was the same as a month ago when we had my mom's birthday here....Bingo. What makes the game unique is that instead of numbers like B 6, I 17, etc. our Bingo had words in the squares, words that are associated with the person whose birthday it is.

COAST Offers Mental Health Support in Niagara

When someone is feeling alone, maybe considering suicide, wants to reach out and connect with another human being, it is important to provide services to meet their needs.

This means more than just emergency departments.

In Niagara, our comprehensive and coordinated crisis response system incorporates mobile teams, safe beds and direct links to mental health and addictions services in our community.

COAST is a mobile crisis outreach and intervention service that offers immediate telephone counselling and on-site crisis outreach intervention as needed. It operates seven days a week, 24-hours a day for individuals 16 years and older experiencing a mental health crisis. Information is collected over the phone by a qualified health professional. If needed, the mobile team will assess the person in crisis in their community. Ongoing telephone support and/or referral to appropriate follow up services may be recommended to prevent further crisis. COAST is not a rapid-response service. SCRIBBLES VIDEO | Keep Calm

The images in this video were originally a Scribbles post from 2021 (when we were deep into the pandemic). The objective was to present photos of some of our Scribbles pals doing things that could make us feel happy and calm. 

Fast forward to today. We're not in a lockdown but there's plenty of scary things going on, it is like we are all living the same bad dream. The ideal environment to look at our Calming Photos again, only this time instead of a post, it's a video. 

There's plenty of photos of our friends in the Ottawa Valley taken when they were little kids doing cool and creative things. 

Now take a deep breathe in, hold for a few seconds, slowly exhale...repeat and watch this uplifting video.
