Below is a new Scribbles Video in honour of Don, who passed away Friday, February 8th at the age of 67.
As with past tribute videos for extended family members, there were a lot of photos and rare video footage for me to explore. This task always make me smile as well as cry. There were many pictures and clips that featured both Don and our friend Bob Miller, who passed away last August. I never realized how often that amusing dynamic duo hung out, until I put this video together. Maybe they're reunited somewhere up in heaven, side-by-side exchanging tales and corny jokes.
Don's passing is another sobering reminder that life is precious and short. Be sure to live it to its fullest.
Obituary of Donald Papple
Passed away peacefully at the Juravinski Hospital on Friday, February 8, 2019 in his 68th year. Loving father of James (Phoebe Kang), Patrick and Erin. Cherished grandfather of Thomas. Deeply missed by his brother Ford (Michelle).
Donald taught at Niagara College in the Horticulture Department for over 36 years, he had a passion for teaching and learning. He will be deeply missed by his family, friends and colleagues.
Visitation and memorial service were held at BECKETT-GLAVES FAMILY FUNERAL CENTRE, 88 Brant Ave. Brantford, 519-752-4331 on Saturday, February 16th, 2019 starting at noon. At his request cremation has taken place. Donations to the Diabetes Association would be appreciated.
