JULIE TURNER OBITUARY

August 21, 1954 - October 22, 2022

We are saddened to share the loss of Julie Turner and comforted that she spent her last days surrounded by family. Julie was the daughter of Cecil Turner and Lilian (Carlisle) Turner. Mother to Amy and Sile, mother-in-law to Liz, and grandmother to Connor, Roen, Sam, Luke, Emily and Eli. Julie will be dearly missed by her partner Fred, her sisters, brothers and in-laws, David and Liz, Anne, Kathy, Chris and Joelle, as well as her nieces and nephews, friends and extended family.

Julie acted in and directed community theatre productions throughout Haldimand and Norfolk Counties for many years. She connected a wonderful group of friends over decades and always brought laughter to those around her.

With her daughters and extended family, Julie spent many summers having adventures, bonfires, and a few mishaps at family cottages in Sauble Beach and Long Point. Julie loved sunny weather, autumn colours, doing puzzles, and walking on the beach collecting beach glass.

She found much joy in entertaining her six grandchildren who did crafts at her kitchen table and science experiments in her living room.

We will remember her for her kindness and her sense of humour. In remembrance of Julie her daughters ask that, if you wish to and are able, you make a donation to your local theatre in her name. A Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
