EP. 1 With one of the longest titles in TV history, Breaking the Magicians Code: Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed debuted on Fox in 1997 and quickly became a global sensation. As the name implies, the premise of the series was to reveal all the secrets magicians use to fascinate us with their tricks.
When it first aired there was a lot of backlash. Magicians worldwide were enraged that the series proceeded to unmask their popular illusions, but viewers loved it and it got top ratings.
For the next 6-8 weeks each Sunday Scribbles will debut a "new" episode of Magic's Biggest Secrets Finally Revealed. Each episode is about 43 minutes long, so allow yourself amply time to watch.
Oh ya, one last thing....The magician in the series is usually surrounded by a bevy of young, beautiful "assistances". The narrator's sexual innuendo used to describe these assistances can often be pretty crude. For example, when an assistant in a skimpy bathing suit submerged herself in a large vat of water and then popped back up, the narrator says something along the lines of "Looks like the water was room temperature." Oink Oink! Consider yourself warned, there's lots of that kinda sleezy talk throughout the series.
Grab a drink & snack and get comfy. Then sit back and discover the real tricks behind all the magic.
