I am proud to live in Canada. Yes things are rough, but take a look at the world. Every country is struggling with the exact same issues. Covid really hit the planet in the balls and the after pain continues to make life hard. It's going to take a while to set things right & I'm thankful Canada is at least trying to do stuff and have little patience for those who cry foul without having a plan to replace it.
For the most part, Canada is still a country made up of kind, caring people. We're a "love thy neighbour" kinda place.
Of course there's always tragic exceptions who are far from kind or neighbourly. But for every one of these horrible people we hear of in the news & social media, there's countless kind acts happening across our grand country.
People doing nice things for their family, their friends, their community, even a total stranger. They don't do it to get in the headlines or get hits on their website. They do it because it is the decent thing to do. Hell many of these kind souls don't want any fuss or recognition at all. Instead they anonymously keep the joy of their kind act between them and those they help.
Canada still has more people who are kind & caring and embrace our diversity, than those who do not. I truly believe this and it is one of the many reasons I am proud to be a Canadian.
HAPPY CANADA DAY EVERYONE!!
