The first time ever I saw her face and heard the legendary Roberta Flack. she was on TV singing her megahit 'Killing Me Softly (With His Song)'. Those lyrics, the passion in her voice, she was mesmerizing. Her song 'The First Time Ever I Saw Your Face' is right up there with 'Killing Me Softly'. I listened to those songs on my cassette player over and over and over again.
Rest in peace beautiful lady. You left us with songs that are as moving today as they were when you first released them. And they will live on forever.
