I remember listening to Queen, my home lit only by candles, on the evening of Nov. 24, 1991 as I cried over the world's tremendous loss. I would cry, laugh and pay my respects shortly later, when a star-studded group of musicians played a tribute concert to Freddie, beamed live across the planet.
Freddie Mercury's persona and success were grander than life and still continue to be, 23 years after this remarkable voice was silenced.
