Dunnville Community Theatre Presents Murder’s in the Heir by Billy St. John 

It’s a will reading like no other. When the wealthy Simon Starkweather gathers his family and staff to announce the details of his estate, it sets off an evening of shocking twists, sharp-tongued humor, and a murder that could only happen in a house full of suspects.

This interactive whodunit by Billy St. John transforms the classic mystery into a live game of Clue. Every character has a motive, every moment is suspicious—and the audience gets to decide the ending. At intermission, spectators cast their votes for the killer, and the cast performs the finale that matches the audience’s verdict.

“Murder’s in the Heir is a perfect blend of comedy, suspense, and audience participation,” says Gordon Huffman, director of the production. “No two performances are exactly alike, which keeps the show fresh and fun every night.”

We are dedicated to producing high quality live entertainment to Dunnville and the surrounding areas. DCT provides opportunities for people of all ages to become involved in live theatre wither it be through acting, painting, selling tickets or any other theatre related activity.

Over this past year we have worked:

 With the Optimist Club of Dunnville – making greater use of their space by having a home base there and performing shows in their beautiful main hall.

 With the Dunnville Lions Club – we are dedicated to being part of their Home and Garden Show every year by putting on a display that people just must stop and ask about.

 With the Dunnville Chamber of Commerce – we are the first local talent who put on the children’s entertainment for the Mudcat Kids Zone.

 With the Dunnville CoC Mudcat Fundraiser in 2025 by means of a play called Murder at the Mudcat Mardi Gras on May 24, 2025.

 And currently we have partnered with the St. Michael’s Parish Hall in Dunnville to perform Murders in the Heir by Billy St. John.
