Pride Month Wraps Up

HERE'S ALL 7 OF OUR "it's PRIDE month" SCRIBBLES COVER BANNERS FEATURING SOME OF OUR LGBTQ+2S FRIENDS & ALLIES
Although marred by noisy protests, blatant lies and malicious slurs, Pride Month in Niagara & surrounding areas was still a lot of fun, with exciting events running all month long.

Pride Niagara started the festivities with a Kick Off Party featuring Detox from Rupaul's Drag Race, followed by Pride flag raising ceremonies, the 10th Annual Unity Awards, Pride Prom, Speaking Out with Pride, Pride in the Park and more.

Other events throughout the region were Living Out Stories hosted by Falynn Shaw who interviewed Hexe Noir and Safe Space Niagara's Pride Fest & Sounds Gay, Count Me In (all funds went to Safe Space Niagara). Rounding off the month was the 2nd Annual Fort Erie Pride, with the notable absence of event co-organizer Marc Poisson Leboeuf, still recovering from a serious accident in May.

Decked out in his festive rainbow hat, Mr. Sock was on hand (get it..."ON HAND"... LOL) for Pride in the Park, where he got to meet many of our Scribbles friends and received shout outs from people he didn't even know, but who sure knew him ("I'm crushing on Mr. Sock" said one happy admirer.)

Throughout the month, Scribbles "cover" banners featured numerous LGBTQ+2S friends and allies. In case you missed any, or just wish to see them again, here's our various collages.

What a fine group of kind, caring, individuals, all of whom Scribbles is so proud to call our friends. Shine bright my friends, shine bright.

May the joy, love and hope you feel at Pride remain with you throughout the year and comfort you should you find yourself dealing with misguided hatred and intolerance.
