ENCORE Scribbles VIDEO | Mr. Sock & pals Haunted House Search

For Halloween 2023, Scribbles created a special video to go along with our Sock vs. Sock Contest. In that contest, you voted for either Hippie Mr. Sock or Pumpkin Mr. Sock. The results of the contest were put in a wooden box and someone hid it. Enter Mr. Sock who searches through a spooky haunted house with two of his friends. Their mission, find the missing wooden box.

It was a cute video we thought you might enjoy again and it is 100% kid friendly.

It's silly fun for the whole family, so gather the kiddies and your granny's and enjoy the show.

ENCORE Scribbles VIDEO | It's ALIVE! (Edited ver.)

What happens when Dr. Fran-KEN-stein builds a monster? Find out in our encore presentation of It's ALIVE!

We have edited this video from it's original 11 plus minutes in length, to just under 7 minutes. Much of what was edited was a bit scary. Even with this edit, some portions of this encore video may be scary to very young children.

Scribbles VIDEO 1 | Encore, Encore.... Back to Camp

Mr. Sock & Ken returned for four days at N.E.T. Camp Resort with our Scribbles friend Doug at the end of September. The popular campground closes mid October (around Thanksgiving), so we wanted to make sure to get back for one last time of the season.

We booked the site at the top of the hill on the island portion of the campground. There were no other campers in this area, as you will see in the following two videos.

Our first video is Encore, Encore...Back to Camp. It features Mr. Sock & Ken sharing their time at camp through conversation and video footage.

coming next is...
TRANQUILITY...A PEACEFUL WALK THRU N.E.T. CAMP RESORT

Scribbles VIDEO 2 | Tranquility...A Peaceful Walk at N.E.T. Camp Resort

Our second video is called Tranquility...A Peaceful Walk at N.E.T. Camp Resort. There's no talking or background music on this video. It features the sight and sounds of the campground. There's also inspiring thoughts and meditation suggestions on our Tranquility video. The hills are alive and some have eyes, but our hills are so peaceful, so serene.

Scribbles VIDEO | It's a Small, Small World

The theme for this video is small. Each of the 4 segments feature something small, many created by Scribbles. Mr. Sock joins in on the fun with his tiny-sized accessories, McDonald's copies Scribbles, Little Ozzy is in the house and our pal Terry has a diorama of his food truck, thanks to Scribbles crazy creativity. Like seriously, who does that....oh ya....I do.  LOL!

W
elcome everyone, There’s lots to unpack so let’s get to it. Best Cartoon Characters Duels is similar to, yet very different than Battle of the Best.

In this game you will be voting between two animated characters. In each duel the character that gets the most votes will move on to the next Level, where they will be paired up against other characters that win their duels.

Eventually, by process of elimination, we will determine which cartoon characters are the absolute best of them all. Oh and we should point out, these are TV cartoon characters. We know there’s tons of animated movie characters that we love, but for this game it is TV.

Best Cartoon Character Duels will last longer than Battle of the Best. There’s over 100 characters in the duels. Each post we send will include 3 or more duels, to get things rolling.

I appreciate you playing and hope you do it often.  It’s taken a fair amount of prep time to put this game together, and keeping track of it all is going to be MY challenge as the votes pour in. All I ask is that you take a minute to send your choices. If there are duels featuring characters you do not know, you are allowed to use your Game Pass. You just say pass or just include the choices for the ones you know.

Let’s get started and see how this plays out…

Here’s our first set of duels. Give us your 3 answers in the FACEBOOK comments section or by EMAIL. NO MESSENGER or TEXT VOTING please.

1. WOODSTOCK or WOODY WOODPECKER  2. HOMER SIMPSON or FRED FLINTSTONE  3. YOGI BEAR or HUCKLEBERRY HOUND

For more duels go to Ken's Facebook page or check your email

HOUSEHOLD TIP | How To Preserve Food Without a Vacuum Sealer

To vacuum seal without a machine, you’re going to need the food you want to store, a freezer-safe, plastic zip-top bag like a trusty Ziploc and a bowl of cold water that’s big enough to fit the bag with your food of choice in it.

Once you’ve gathered all the necessities, place the food inside the bag and squeeze out the excess air. Seal the bag almost all the way, leaving a small opening in one corner. Then, dip the bag into the bowl of cold water. You want to keep the open part of the seal above water, while ensuring the bag’s contents are fully submerged. At this point, the pressure of the water will push out the air and you should see the plastic bag mold to the food, creating a seal-like effect. If it’s not sufficiently airtight, gently massage the bag to remove any air pockets.
