Still Reasons to Appreciate Canada.

S
cribbles wishes all our friends a Happy Canada Day. Sadly, once again it is a somber occasion. Two years ago we were in the early days of the pandemic, last year we had just learned about the horrific deaths of Indigenous children. This year we have our tarnished Canadian flag.I'm sorry. I'm for free speech. Just leave the flag out of it.

Last year at this time, seeing someone driving by with a big Canadian flag on their vehicle, we'd think they're celebrating Canada Day. This year when you see a truck with a flag or two flapping in the wind, you can bet there's also a sign saying "Mandate Freedom","F#ck Trudeau" or something equally classy.
[Does eye roll]

That's MY flag too and I don't appreciate it being used that way.

I believe there is still more good than evil in this world. We hear about the crazies the instant they do something. We don't hear about the people doing acts of kindness. They aren't looking it for accolades. They do it cuz it feels good just to help others.

There are still things about Canada that I appreciate. I'm going to park my focus there while wishing my Scribbles family a Happy Canada Day.

SCRIBBLES VIDEO | Presenting Pride Prizes

Mr. Sock made his first appearance away from home, when he & I when to my sister Jane's to present her with her prizes for winning our Share Your Pride Contest. Jane won the contest when feral-ish pussycat Bebee "chose her name" by eating a cat treat beside Jane's name.

Here's our exclusive video of Mr. Sock presenting Jane with her prizes. Plus there's a new contest coming up and we have a sneak peek of it on this video.

Still Rolling After All These Years

This is a special treat for Stones fans. It's almost like being there, without the long lineups at the washrooms and over priced beer. LOL!  Mick & the band are still amazing. Think we're kidding? See for yourself.

Elvis is IN the Building!

The eagerly anticipated Elvis movie is coming to theatres on July 24 This looks to be very promising. Both ex wife Priscilla Presley and daughter Lisa Marie have given the movie's producer Baz Luhrmann their seal of approval. Both mentioned how the film captures the true essence of Elvis, who passed away in 1977 at age 42.

Here's a mouthwatering trailer for Elvis. We're betting it will make you want to see the movie. That's what happened to me. LOL!
