It's getting closer and closer.....the debut of the Will & Grace reboot is less than 2 weeks away. There's 12 episodes in this special season.

NEW | The Real Pussycats of St. Patrick Street

There's one thing I can always be sure of whenever I step foot outside my front door. There will most likely be a feral cat waiting to greet me....and when I say "a" feral cat, I actually mean several.  We have many in this area and some of the neighbours leave food out for them.

There is one cat in particular, who resides in the adjoining backyard shared with my next door neighbours. She is simply referred to as "the black and white cat". She's affectionate and vocal and has made our yard her home. In the winter the neighbours put together a shelter for B&W cat and I give her treats and lots of attention. Miss Kitty's my inside cat and B&W is unofficially my outside cat.

I have tried to bring B&W cat indoors. She met Miss Kitty and she gets along with her and my dog Timmi. The problem is B&W cat is foot loose and fancy free.  She will come in to my entrance way and hang out with my critters, but only if the door is left partially open. The very second I close it completely, B&W cat panics and paws at the door. So she stays outside and we do our best to keep her safe and comfortable.

Then there's Bebee. She actually has a home close by, but tends to spend most of her time in our yards. She's B&W cat's friend, who loves attention and will "talk" up a storm if you ignore her. She's quite the kitty.

But you don't have to take my word for it. You can see B&W cat, Bebee and others in a new series I call The Real Pussycats of St. Patrick Street.  On four occasions. I have had my phone with me and went live on Facebook to showcase the many furry friends that hang out around here.

I have edited those "episodes" together and even gave them an opening theme - a parody of the popular daytime drama  The Young and the Restless. You can check it out below.

Will more kitties join the party? Will there be cat fights? Will Timmi be officially accepted as a cat in dog's clothing?

As they say in soap opera land....stay tuned!

MUSIC VIDEO | 'Younger Now' by Miley Cyrus

Say what you may about Miley Cyrus, but the girl certainly can sing (and yes, we know auto tune is used liberally in this video, but even without it, Miley has the chops.)

I think this is her best work to date....song wise. The video is okay, certainly not a megabuck, high tech spectacle like Taylor Swift's new hit 'Look What You Made Me Do" but the song is catchy.

MUSIC VIDEO | 'Look What You Made Me Do' -Taylor Swift

She's done it again!  This video is F'N AWESOME! Can't stop watching it. Love the way she spoofs herself at the end. Say what you will about Taylor Swift but she's brilliant at reinventing herself and this masterpiece is proof of that.

I truly love this video and catchy jingle, although it has ruffled some feathers, which just about anything these days seems to do. Great clip!

PETS | Timmi Turns 13

Today, my little buddy Timmi will likely get a bit more attention and a few more treats than he typically does. He will have no idea why he's the centre of attention on this day, but I will....it's because it's his birthday. Timmi turns 13 on August 17th.

As most of you will recall, Timmi was originally my mom's dog, before finding a place in my home (and heart.) Timmi still gets to see my mom (or "Nana" as he knows her by) regularly, since we still get together at least once a week with her.

This "tradition" started many years ago when "Nana" still lived on Rebecca Street. She had purchased a computer and knew very little about them. I would come over once a week to give her a computer lesson. I'd drop Timmi off at mom's place on my way to work (back in the glorious days of having a job and a car) and while I spent the day selling mobile phones, Timmi, Nana and her cat Sensi shared some quality time. After work, I would go to mom's for dinner, a visit and that all-important computer lesson.

Things have changed somewhat since then. Mom now lives in an apartment with her cat Patches and no longer needs computer tutorials. Since I no longer have a vehicle or a job to drive it to, Mom picks Timmi and I up at my place for wonderful, longer visits and of course those delicious dinners.

Timmi has been there throughout all the changes and still gets very VERY excited when we pull into the driveway at mom's apartment building, something that we still find amusing, no matter how old he (or the rest of us) get.

Happy 13th Birthday Timmi.

Love "Daddy"

YOU | Birthday Blast From the Slight Past

It's hard to believe that August 16th marks two years since family and friends gathered in rural Renfrew to celebrate my cousin Jeanne Prince's 60th birthday, but calendar's don't lie.

One of the most memorable things about Jeanne's big 6-0 was the fact she was lead to believe it would be a "small-ish" family get-together, when in actuality there were many, MANY guests.

Another surprise was me (and my good pal Doug) joining in on the fun. Jeanne had no absolutely idea we were in town [exclusively for her birthday] and to say she was a bit surprised to see me would definitely be an understatement.

Guests had the option of placing card stock "masks" in front of their face, as a gag to make Jeanne guess who they were. This made the element of me surprising her perfect, as revealed in the clips below.

There was so much fun, we featured not one but two videos all about Jeanne's big day.

Although it'll be kinda hard to top the celebration of two years ago, I hope your 62nd birthday is wonderful Jeanne!

KIDS | Admiring Her Curls

Our friend Emerson Rose seems pleased with the way her hair rollers look, as she admires them in the mirror, in this encore photo which we featured in January 2015.

I guess since  she's a popular Scribbles child star, she wanted to make sure she always looks her best.

To Bee or Not To Bee

Here's a sure way for a bank to make certain their clients leave their money in the vault....hire a swarm of bees to gather outside of the entrance.  Actually, these uninvited guests made a TD bank in downtown St Catharines their sweet spot, as seen in this encore photo taken in the spring of 2015 by our pal Melisa MacNeil.

The bees may have found this location a real buzz, but the bank surely didn't.  According to those we've asked, the queen bee must have been in this swarm somewhere, explaining why the rest of the bees gathered here. Wherever the queen goes, her drones will follow...just ask any popular drag performer.

IN MEMORIAM | Glen Campbell

It may surprise some of you to learn that I was a Glen Campbell fan. There was just something special about the "Rhinestone Cowboy" and the music he made that often spoke to me and helped me through some hard times.

In 2011 he discovered he had Alzheimer's and made a brave decision to go on the road for one last tour with cameras rolling both on and off stage. It was a poignant documentary that gave us a rare inside look at the effects of this insidious disease.

Rest in peace Mr. Campbell. You were a gentle soul who will be missed by many, including me.

VIDEO | Billy & Emily England's Latest Heart Stopping Performance

We were blown away by the death-defying roller skating act that siblings Billy & Emily England performed on their first appearance on 'America's Got Talent'.

We're even more amazed by their latest routine. We think this is one of the best acts on AGT this season, although we worry about how they might try to up their game even more, when the live episodes begin in a few weeks.

Needless to say, don't try this at home boys and girls!

MUSIC VIDEO | 'Life's About to Get Good' by Shania Twain

SHE'S BACK!!!  After a much publicized separation from her previous husband, issues with her voice and admitting she has Lyme Disease, Canadian songstress Shania Twain is heating up the airwaves with a peppy new song 'Life's About to Get Good'.

Panned by some for its liberal use of auto-tuning, the song has a catchy hook and good message...and still features the unmistakable vocals of Shania Twain.  Check it out...
