Despite the fact we haven't had much snow this year, it is still after all Winter in Canada. Our Scribbles pal Kerri Thomson-Fortier and her friend Penny found a perfect way to retreat from the cold and dreary weather by spending a fun-filled week in Cuba.
They stayed at a resort in Cayo Naranjo, where they enjoyed banquets of delicious food and refreshing cocktails. The view wasn't bad either, and we're not just talking about the blue ocean and sandy beaches- LOL! Kerri made new friends with some of the locals, including their tour guide Mabiel (seen here in red hat snuggling with her) and shipmate Victor (seen above in the striped shirt.)
And when they weren't chilling out on the beach or enjoying the sites on land, they also ventured into the water where they got to snorkel with the fishes and frolick with dolphins (something Kerri said was within itself well worth the whole trip.)
As we see in the collection above, the gals certainly seemed to have a great time and despite what she says about the experience with the dolphins being the most memorable part of the trip, we suspect there's a few other reasons Kerri's all smiles in these pix....LOL!
