Lip-syncing on a stage to the song of your choice is something most of us could probably pull off given enough support or liquid courage. Even if we forget the lyrics, as long as our lips are moving, it's not that bad, yet not really an art either.
To bring it to a level of excellence, one must practise and have talent. Knowing all the words is never enough. You must have a real stage presence complete with a well choreographed routine and amazing outfits to be memorable and become a real artist at it. Many may try, but only a few succeed.
Enter Niagara's own Brett Woods. Brett is a local lip-sync sensation and truly a master of his craft. It may not be his voice coming from the speakers, but he is living every word we hear through his actions, his dancing and his elaborate costumes. One look and it's easy to see why this handsome young talent has become so popular across Southern Ontario and Western New York.
He's not a King, nor a Queen, but this former Niagara Sovereign Imperial Court Emperor is indeed Royalty.
Brett, here's to you and your amazing and abundant talent. From fun to fundraisers, you are indeed a force to be reckoned with and someone I very much admire.
