One of my favourite parts of the holiday season is receiving Francesca and Brian Mackie's annual newsletter. Each year they meticulously detail the family's events and send it along with a recent pix and Christmas card. I imagine it's a bit like what it might be like to be on the receiving end of Scribbles, only in this case it's me who gets up to date.
The Mackie children are growing fast. Colin is now 9 and Catriona is 6 and both are active and enjoying school. Meanwhile Francesca and Brian continue to excel at work, as parents and their involvement with the local Beavers and Cub Scouts.
The highlight of 2011 for the Mackies was a trip to the UK, where Brian enjoyed a first ever family get together and family history research with his long-lost cousins.
